The Strumento N°1 Signature’s physical beauty matches its sonic excellence. A precious golden plaque on the front immediately highlights the exclusive class of this device. Beginning life as a bespoke, ultra-high-grade aluminum casting, the chassis undergoes meticulous CNC machining before each part is painstakingly hand-polished to a mirror-like finish. Critical areas are further refined with precision shot peening and anodization, culminating in a stunning, luxurious design completed with elegant silk-screening. Every visual and tactile detail embodies the essence of refined Italian craftsmanship.

Sophisticated Power Supply and Noise Management

Beneath the surface lies a highly sophisticated power architecture, consisting of four toroidal transformers: two 75VA transformers dedicated to the main audio stages, one 25VA transformer for control boards, and a 15VA transformer for logic operations. Each transformer is enclosed within a ferromagnetic shield and encapsulated in epoxy resin, ensuring absolute isolation from interference. The ultra-low noise main power supply is equipped with 40 ultra-fast rectifying capacitors (680µF, 100V), wrapped in EMI shielding and vibration-damping material to reduce any physical disturbances. This results in a preamplifier that operates with impeccable quietness and stability, maintaining sonic integrity at every turn.

Constant Impedance Volume Control

A critical challenge in preamplifier design is maintaining consistent impedance throughout volume adjustments. Traditional potentiometers often introduce variable impedance, degrading frequency response, slew rate, and internal coupling stability. To overcome this, Audia Flight has developed a custom constant impedance attenuator. This precision-engineered component, built from discrete, low-noise metallic film resistors and relays, provides a gain range of 127 dB in finely controlled 0.5 dB steps. The result is a volume control that is remarkably silent and consistently accurate, with an extended frequency response of 3Hz to 1MHz (-3dB) and an impressive slew rate exceeding 250V/µs across the entire gain spectrum. An extensive use of high-end components along the signal path elevates audio information processing to perfection. The capacitors are from the German brand Mundorf, the resistors are Vishay ZFoil and Dale, and all relays are high-frequency Reed relays. All internal parts related to the audio signal, as bars, spacers and so on, are gold-plated to ensure perfect contacts over time.

Exclusive Class A Current-Feedback Gain Stage

The heart of the Strumento N°1 Signature is its proprietary Class A current-feedback gain stage, featuring four independent stabilized power supplies per channel—two dedicated to the input and two to the output stages. This gain stage is encased in an aluminum enclosure and encapsulated in epoxy resin, ensuring thermal stability and shielding against external interferences. The output stage employs high-current, low-noise Class A MOSFET devices, capable of effortlessly driving any connected power amplifier with authority and finesse. Custom-printed boards are enhanced with extra gold surface, all internal parts related to the audio signal, as bars, spacers and so on, are gold-plated to ensure perfect contacts over time.
